EMK - Why did you take up kickboxing?
Krishana - Mainly for self defence.
Rohan - Because it looked good and could help me improve my health and fitness.
EMK - Do you feel that your fitness, stamina and flexibilty has improved since you started?
Krishana - Yes, because I can now do lots of different stretches.
Rohan - Absolutely! My fitness has changed extremely a lot.
EMK - What skills have you learned from your instructor?
Krishana - I have learnt lots of different sparring techniques.
Rohan - I have learnt kickboxing techniques and new skills.
EMK - What is your favourite technique or combination?
Krishana - The tornado kick and set number ten (from the grading syllabus).
Rohan - A lot of techniques are very good but I really like the spinning tornado kick.
EMK - What are your goals and targets for the future with your kickboxing?
Krishana - To try to get a black belt.
Rohan - To sharpen my kicks and punches every lesson.
EMK - Would you recommend East Midlands Kickboxing to others? If so why?
Krishana - Yes I would recommend it to others because it is a great chance to learn different kickboxing
techniques and to improve your flexibilty and stamina.
Rohan - Yes, me too because it is a good chance to learn different types of techniques.

EMK - Why did you take up kickboxing?
James - It's something that I had always wanted to try, for both fitness and self defence. Unfortunately
before joining I had a preconceived notion that such classes might be dangerous or intimidating, the reality
is quite different.
EMK - Do you feel that your fitness, stamina and flexibilty has improved since you started?
James - Yes, I have made improvements in all of the above, since joining I have lost six kilograms!
EMK - What skills have you learned from your instructor?
James - I have had first class instruction, I have learned the importance of applying proper technique to
get the best results and that with practice you can make improvements in areas such as strength balance
and co-ordination.
EMK - What is your favourite technique or combination?
James - I enjoy the pad work, it's really satisfying to hear a good punch or kick connect with the pad.
EMK - What are your goals and targets for the future with your kickboxing?
James - I hope I can continue to progress through the gradings and continue to improve my fitness.
EMK - Would you recommend East Midlands Kickboxing to others? If so why?
James - Yes, wholeheartedly! The classes are excellent, the instructors work hard to provide the perfect
balance of a welcoming yet motivating environment where students can develop their abilities at a pace
that is right for them.
