East Midlands Kickboxing - Refunds Policy 2009

 

Please make sure that you have read any understood the following before deciding to apply for membership within our school of clubs, existing members are also advised to read our refunds policy as this will be taking effect from August 1st 2009. Terms and conditions are further down the page. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to speak to your instructor.

 

Membership Fees

 

We are happy to offer all new starters a 10 day cooling off period, this basically means that if you change your mind and decide that our classes are not for you simply let us know within 10 days from the time you originally signed up and we will refund you the membership fee in full! *

 

Tuition Fees

 

If you are ever unsatisfied with any of our classes we will offer you a full refund for that class no questions asked! In addition to this we will give you the opportunity to make up the class elsewhere at one of our other clubs nearby. **

 

Equipment

 

Our suppliers offer arguably the best quality martial arts equipment and clothing available in the UK, however from time to time our students may experience faulty items, in this case we will happily replace the item without any return delivery costs whatsoever. If you would prefer we can refund you the cost of the item also, again no questions asked! ***

 

Gradings & Seminars

 

When working your way through the belts, your instructor will advise you when you are ready for your first / next grading examination. They will do everything in their power to make sure that you have met the required standards. If you do happen to fail your grading examination you do not have to pay to re-take the examination at a later date! ****

 

Refunds Policy - Terms & Conditions

 

*Membership Fees - If however, your licence has been issued or is in the process of being issued you will only receive a refund minus the yearly licence fee of £20.00. If this is the case for you we will ensure that you still receive your licence booklet which will be available for you to pick up when it is back with the instructor. If you have been issued with an instructional DVD it will need to be returned in good working order with no scratches on the discs. If a returned DVD appears to be scratched or damaged in any way you will be refunded the membership fee minus the DVD cost of £14.99, if this occurs you will of course retain the DVD yourself. If you were given a training suit please also return this to your instructor when requesting your refund, if the suit has been worn for training within one or more of our classes the instructor may consider buying the suit back from you at a reduced rate, this is because we cannot return non-faulty items to our supplier and we also cannot sell the suit on to somebody else as new. If the instructor is happy to take back the suit it must be in good condition as well as being clean and dry. The amount returned to you will be dependent on the suits condition, this will be left entirely to the instructor’s discretion. Also your first class is free on an introductory basis, you may have also been offered your first months tuition free. Our instructors will often offer or advertise the first month tuition fees for free, if this was offered to you it would have only been on the understanding that the first month is offered free upon payment of membership fees and completion of the membership application sheets including the standing order mandate. If you wish to request a refund on the membership this free month becomes void, any classes in which you have trained other than your first free introductory class will be charged at £6.00 per class and will be deducted from any money refunded to you from your membership fee paid.

**Tuition Fees - We cannot refund classes that you have missed through illness, holidays or general absence. The hones is on you to make sure that you attend the amount of classes per month that you have paid for via your standing order payment, please remember that our classes and instructors will always be there for you but it’s up to you to make sure that you attend and get your full money’s worth. What we can offer you as an alternative solution is the chance to make up any missed classes at one of our other clubs nearby, your instructor will advise you of the next nearest class in this situation. If you cancel your monthly standing order because you know that you cannot attend for a long time and will miss many sessions you must re-establish the standing order payment before any further training within our classes may take place, cash payments towards tuition will only be accepted as a one off whilst you are waiting for your bank to set up a standing order to pay for your tuition fees.

***Equipment - Any refunds or exchanges must be within 28 days from purchase (if the goods were in stock) or from receiving the goods. Unwanted items will not be refunded or exchanged. Your instructor will always try to advise you in advance of any purchase on sizes and styles but the final decision will be yours. However problems with equipment and clothing are few and far between and can generally be resolved by the instructor on your behalf.

****Gradings & Seminars - Please ensure that you are able to attend the grading / seminar in advance and that you are free on that day at that time. Refunds will be given if you are unable to attend, however a £5.00 deposit may be kept by the instructor although this can be put towards or deducted from any future gradings or seminars with the same instructor.
